Influenced by Chinese ceramics, it emerged around the 12th century and was widely produced by the mid-Goryeo period. Beginning with low, wide-mouthed profiles, these cups gradually developed taller bodies and evolved into examples adorned with carving and inlay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis cup has a height and mouth diameter that are nearly equal; it is unadorned and lacks any inlay. Based on its form and means of decoration, it is thought to date from the late 12th to the early 13th century.
