This piece is covered with a thick gray-blue celadon glaze and feels substantial in the hand. The vessel’s surface displays a fine network of crazing, and in areas where the glaze has been abraded the reddish-brown clay body is revealed.

Several concentric lines encircle the neck and rim, and wheel-throwing marks remain on the body. As an excavated object, soil adhering to the surface has oxidized; this has been left in place rather than being forcibly removed.

The rim is chipped, and the body shows cracks. The cracked areas have been stabilized and are not mobile in their present condition.
