Diameter 12.7cm, height 4.5cm. At the center of the interior is a small circular depression, a feature often seen in Song dynasty bowls.

An excavated Yingqing celadon: the glaze has peeled away in places, and oxidized soil adheres to the vessel surface. Within, a thin pale-blue glaze remnant spreads across the interior, overlaid in mottled patches by reddish-brown soil encrustation. Compared with the earlier example, the bluish tone remains slightly stronger, producing a clear contrast with the rust-colored earth.

The exterior displays a blend of reddish-brown and grayish-blue from the rim to the body, with soil adhering around the foot. The lobed ridges are not overly pronounced, integrating into the vessel’s profile as gentle undulations of the lip. Although there is the roughness typical of excavated pieces, the form is unassuming and harmonizes well with the rust-browned, weathered surface.

It may be regarded as a small water basin for floating flowers or as a vessel to hold sprigs and blossoms. When filled with water, the residual bluish tone of the glaze is slightly revived, and the reddish-brown iron staining of the clay appears more subdued. The scent of the earth becomes noticeable.

There is overall glaze loss, adherent oxidized deposits, and surface abrasion. Around the footring there are adhered deposits and damage.
