Sun Ko Roku pieces often emulate the celadon and blue-and-white porcelain of the Song and Yuan dynasties, particularly from the Longquan kiln, and are characterized by their semi-porcelain bodies adorned with ash-glazed celadon, iron underglaze, and white slip.
