A faceted bottle of white porcelain with underglaze-blue decoration from the late Joseon Dynasty.

A small flask-shaped bottle with a beveled body; one side is painted in underglaze blue with a bamboo-grass motif. Fine grains of sand appear within the pale white glaze, and there are occasional stains and areas where the glaze has roughened. The underglaze blue remains faint and slightly diffused.

At about 15cm high, it fits in the palm of the hand and is suitable not only as a sake bottle but also for holding a small flower. Grains of sand adhere to the white porcelain surface, and one can enjoy the tranquil bamboo-grass motif and the changing appearance of the beveled surfaces as light and shadow play across them.

Overall, the piece exhibits old scratches, scuffing, stains, and areas of glaze roughness. There are no chips, and the firing produced a hard, well-consolidated body.
