This is a fine white porcelain jar from the mid-period of the Joseon Dynasty, known as a "Talhanari" or "Full Moon Jar." "Talhanari" means "moon jar" in Korean, named for its round and large shape resembling a full moon. Its soft and gentle curves, along with its sturdy body embracing the fullness of the moon, embody a harmonious balance of power and tranquility. Such jars were widely produced in the 17th century. This particular jar is in excellent condition, maintaining its nearly flawless original form. With a height of 52cm, it is a large and impressive "Full Moon Jar."
