TURNIP-SHAPED BOTTLE, Amamori, white porcelain, Joseon Dynasty(1392–1897CE)

Tax excluded. Import duties may apply.  Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

This is a white porcelain turnip-shaped bottle from the Joseon Dynasty. The lower part of the body is elegantly rounded, resembling a turnip, and is referred to as a "shimo kabura hei." The surface bears stains from use, indicative of the rain-leak technique. The mouth has been restored, and the smooth glaze exhibits a subtle sheen, enhancing the graceful rise of the form, which is beautifully balanced. There are no leaks. This piece embodies a serene quality.
