This is a small jar made by weaving twisted paper cords (koyori) into a gourd shape and coating the entire surface with lacquer. Given its size, it is believed to have been used as a medicine container. The aged texture of the paper cords evokes a sense of wildflowers in nature. It can be used as a hanging flower vase by inserting bamboo and attaching a string.
