A small terracotta head depicting a bearded man wearing a conical hat. The forehead band, beard, and the area from cheek to neck are indicated by incised lines; simple in execution, it nonetheless conveys a strong frontal presence.

Male figures are common among ancient Cypriot terracotta sculptures, often appearing as votive offerings or figurative representations; their conical headdresses and beards recall that lineage. This example likewise suggests the style of ancient Cyprus or the wider eastern Mediterranean.

The reddish-brown clay body is well fired, and the surface bears an aged, earthy patina and signs of wear. The eyes are narrow and the mouth carries a faint, smile-like expression; within the naïve modeling there is a quiet humanity. Partially missing from the neck to the shoulder. Though a small fragment, the facial impression remains distinct, and when placed on a shelf or desk it conveys the presence of an ancient figure.
