竹を細かく裂き、端正に編み込んだ網代文の煎茶盆です。数客ほどの器を載せるのにほどよい寸法となっています。

本品は煎茶家で長く使い込まれたもので、角の桟には手の往来による擦れや艶が見られ、竹の編み目も落ち着いた飴色に育っています。実用を重ねることで生まれた柔らかな表情です。

素朴な造りながら、錫器や白磁、木地など多様な器を引き立て、煎茶席の景色に自然に溶け込みます。
