An antique bronze kettle hanger from the Meiji period. It features a low, gently flaring body set on a raised foot and is fitted with iron rings on either side.

An openwork band encircles the upper body, decorated with a four-petaled floral motif. Fine hammer marks remain across the entire surface; against a dark-brown ground, blue-green verdigris has accumulated, giving the piece a well-aged patina. The iron ring and the metal around the rim have likewise mellowed.

Width 21cm, height 15cm. The dimensions are ideal for supporting a cast-iron kettle or water boiler, and a low center of gravity ensures stability. The openwork allows ventilation around the flame, and the piece is thoughtfully designed for practical use as a kettle stand.

There are scuffs, rust, and discoloration consistent with age. The bottle hanger retains its aged copper surface, hammer marks, and well‑preserved openwork workmanship.
