楽器を持ち、演奏する女性の楽人の俑（よう）です。朱や緑の彩色が所々に残っています。東西交易により国際都市として栄えた唐の都の長安や洛陽では、ソグド人などのイラン系西域 （中央アジア）諸国からもたらされた音楽と舞踊が流行し、こうした楽舞俑が数多く作られました。唐王朝の国際色豊かで華やかな宮廷文化の一端をうかがい知ることができます。
