漢代（206BCE-220CE）の緑釉壺です。漢代には中国陶磁史上初めて、本格的な青磁が登場したほか、灰釉陶器、加彩灰陶、黒陶、鉛釉陶器などが作られました。殷周から春秋戦国にかけて栄えた青銅器文化から一転、漢代に至ると、青磁の焼造という技術的革新が起こり、技法も形態も多様な陶磁器が作られるようになりました。
本品は頸部に段々と帯のついた口作りで、なだらかなヘ瓶子状の胴部をもつ、壺型の緑釉器です。
