This is an antique copper portable candlestick from the Meiji Period (1868–1912 CE). The neck joint allows for opening and closing, and when the legs, which fold flat, are extended, it stands independently as a candlestick.
In excellent condition, it would make a charming addition to an evening tea ceremony.
