本品は古代ローマ時代のテラコッタ陶器製のオイルランプです。小さな取っ手が付いています。濃い灰色で、特徴的なアーモンド型をしています。上部には2つの穴があり、1つはオイルを注入するためのもので、もう1つは芯を通すためのものです。ランプ本体の中央にはレリーフ模様が施されています。本品とほぼ共通様式のテラコッタランプは博物館でも良く目にするもので、古代ローマ帝国およびビザンチン帝国時代に量産されていたことが推測されます。側面にヒビがありますが、完器形を保っています。
