In Han dynasty China, the technology of ceramics manufacturing was highly developed and various types of ceramics were produced. Among them, green-glazed pottery occupies a particularly important position. These potteries are commonly called "green-glazed pottery" and their color is produced by a lead-containing glaze. This glaze is fired at a high temperature to give the surface of the pottery a bright green color.

Among the green-glazed pottery of the Han Dynasty, there are times when silverware like this one is unearthed. Silvering is a phenomenon in which silver spots and luster appear on the surface of pottery, and is mainly caused by the influence of the soil environment. Specifically, it is thought that acidic substances in the soil react with the glaze while it is buried in the ground, resulting in the appearance of a silvery sheen.

This product is an extremely rare bonsai pot among green glaze pottery. Bonsai and garden arts originated in ancient China, and these arts began to develop especially from the Han dynasty. It is in good condition, has deep silvering, and presents a good view.
