This is a ash-glazed double-lubbed jar from the Han dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD). It is a type of ash-glazed pottery made to imitate bronzeware. It has two lugs at the shoulders and a mouth that gently rises from the bottle-shaped body. There are fine inscriptions on each lug and around the neck. There are lines on the body. There is also a bulge at the bottom of the body, which is often seen in ash-glazed ware from the Han dynasty. Its convenient size makes it useful as a flower vase.
