In contrast to the painted designs found on彩陶 (colored pottery) before firing, this jar features decorative elements applied post-firing. The surface of the earthenware is adorned with floral and abstract motifs rendered in hues of red and white.  During the Warring States period in northern China, it was common for funerary pottery to replicate metalware and lacquerware, with notable examples including the vividly painted Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

This piece is a bottle-shaped jar, approximately 25 cm in height, and is in excellent condition. Would it enhance your collection?
