A rectangular tray with a raised rim, set on a low pedestal. Thick timbers are assembled and secured with wooden pegs, resulting in a spare yet robust construction.

Wooden objects of the Joseon dynasty often exhibit restrained ornamentation, their forms shaped to practical use. This tray likewise reveals an unadorned, straightforward construction that emphasizes its function as a utilitarian object.

The raised edges on all four sides have sufficient height, providing the practical ability to carry vessels and tea implements together as well as stability when the tray is set down.
