TEA NEEDLE / TABINOHARI, SATEN

SATEN is a series of tea utensils that ROCANIIRU fashions freely as TENTENSAI.

"Tabinohari" is, as its name suggests, a short tea needle intended for casual use while traveling or at outdoor tea gatherings. Carved from natural wood, it is finished with the branch's bends and knots left intact. The simple 10〜15cm branch is light, fits comfortably in the hand, and is convenient to carry.

Tea is, by nature, inseparable from the natural world. It buds, is nurtured by rain, is plucked, and upon meeting hot water releases its fragrance. This utensil offers a small, unassuming gesture that accompanies that process.

Use it as an auxiliary twig when transferring tea leaves from the tea caddy to the teapot, or as a small tool for adjusting the teapot’s spout while traveling. With repeated use the wood’s surface matures, its color deepens to a calm tone, and it grows more familiar alongside the memories of your journeys.
