タイ北部の山岳民族の男性達によって作られている腰掛椅子です。
ラオス周辺の茶森を訪ねる旅をした時に、少数民族のヤオ族が暮らす小さな村落で出合ったものです。
藤の骨足に牛革で座面が張られています。
牛革にはまだ少し毛が残っています。使い込むと、毛はなくなるそうです。
とても、雰囲気がありますので、花台にしてもよいし、茶席を組み入れるのもおすすめです。
