This is a rare brown-glazed jar with hakeme decoration from the Ko-Karatsu tradition, dating to the Azuchi-Momoyama to Edo Period (1573–1867 CE). The jar features a wave-like hakeme pattern and is modestly sized, making it an excellent choice for use as a flower vase in a tea ceremony or as a water vessel. The condition is excellent.
