Modest in size yet firmly made, their fired coloration varies from warm reddish tones to darker, almost black hues, so that, while matched as a set, each piece shows its own individual expression.
The surface retains the roughness and earthy character from its original firing, while feeling softly smooth to the touch. The rim is slightly upturned, giving it a form well suited to use as a sweets dish. The condition is good.
