19世紀英国、歪んだアンティークガラス瓶です。19世紀のガラス瓶は一つ一つの形が異なり、気泡やさまざまなまじりものが見られる古硝子の魅力が詰まっています。
私もこの手のガラス瓶を一時期熱心に収集していましたが、段々と、川や土中から発掘されたガラス瓶へと関心が移り、本品はそのなかで収集した作品の一つです。
ガラスの表面にはうっすらと銀化が見られ、インク瓶としての素朴で質実な造形と歪みが魅力的です。水漏れはありませんので、窓辺や茶席の花入としてお勧めいたします。
