This is a Ryukyu lacquer tray from the Sencha family, showcasing a beautifully worn red lacquer finish.
While there are some areas of wear in the lacquer, it has developed a charming patina over time. With its low rim and modest size, this round tray is perfect for elegantly serving tea or sweets.
