The Khmer ceramics, produced during the flourishing of the Khmer Empire, centered in present-day Cambodia, initially featured ash-glazed pottery, with brown-glazed wares becoming prominent around the 12th century. Small items such as shallow dishes and small jars adorned with brown glaze are frequently found within Khmer pottery.
