In recent years, Ban Chiang pottery has garnered significant appreciation in Japan. This particular piece is a high-footed Ban Chiang bowl, adorned with intricate incised designs around its body.

The dating and evolution of this type of pottery remain somewhat elusive; however, vessels featuring such incised patterns are believed to have been crafted during the early Ban Chiang period, around the first millennium BCE.

While the foot and body have undergone restoration, the bowl retains its complete form.
