An antique milk-white glass cup from the Meiji–Taisho period.

The rim rises thinly and with a clean edge, while the body, gently rounded, tapers naturally toward the base. When struck by light, areas that appear milky and clouded transition softly into sections that are faintly translucent. Seen from the interior, the layers of glass overlap delicately, imparting a quiet depth around the base. It bears the restrained, pure expression characteristic of Meiji–Taisho period Japanese glass.

Its proportions make it convenient not only as a small sake cup but also as a serving dish for tea or as a vessel for small seasonal accents. When paired with antique pottery or a wooden tray, the milk-white color is especially striking.

Fine surface abrasions and small dark spots are present. The milk glass retains its characteristic translucency and luster, and the cup has a clean, pleasing silhouette.
