A set of five antique pewter scalloped tea saucers from the Qing dynasty.

This tea saucer is formed in an elongated lobed‑flower shape; the rim gently undulates and the dish has a modest depth. When a cup is set on it, the saucer cradles the area around the foot, and when paired with a white porcelain cup the vessel’s whiteness is especially striking.

There are no patterns or inscriptions; the subtle tarnish and color variations of the tin surface form its character. Its size makes it well suited to small sencha bowls or Chinese tea cups.

This is a noticeably old piece; the pewter surface shows age-related darkening, scuffs, fine scratches, and areas of discoloration. An antique pewter tea saucer with a pleasingly worn character, it pairs readily with both sencha utensils and Chinese tea service.
