White Delft of the Age of Discovery. It was originally made as an ointment container, but in Japan it has been prized as a tea utensil such as a sake cup and water jar for tea ceremonies since the Edo period. The soft porcelain has a universal beauty, with a soft skin that looks like it has been sprinkled with yoghurt, a handle that blends in easily, and a nuanced expression that casts shadows.
There are cracks and chips, and water will leak if left as is, but the rare black burnt scenery is attractive. How about using it as a material for kintsugi, etc.?
