Tax excluded. Shipping calculated at checkout
This vessel shape, which is extremely rare among Sue ware, originates from the leather bags of the northern nomadic peoples, and is thought to be a kind of derivation of the leather bag-shaped earthenware that was first transferred to earthenware during the process of passing through China and the Korean Peninsula.
This item has 8 convex bands on the body, and fine line engravings in the Yamagata pattern. The ash covering and natural glaze are splendidly applied, giving it a powerful presence.
