李朝期に用いられた書棚で、上部に棚板、中段に抽斗、下段に観音扉を備えています。扉には精緻な金具が付き、内側には韓紙に書かれた古文書を裏打ちした痕跡が残されています。
黒褐色に沈んだ木地は落ち着いた風合いで、脚部の彫り込み装飾とあいまり、端正な佇まいです。状態も良好です。書棚としてはもちろん、古陶や花器を据える展示棚としてもお使いいただける一具です。
