This well-preserved Ōtsu-e from the Edo Period features a depiction of an oni dressed in a kamishimo, playing the shamisen. At the bottom, a large sake cup and tokkuri are placed, symbolizing the indulgence in music and alcohol that leads to a man's downfall. This artwork captures the essence of the era's social commentary.
