Each piece is carefully packed for international delivery.
This soapstone cooking pot, produced primarily in Nagasaki Prefecture, dates from the Heian Period to the Muromachi Period (794–1185 CE). This piece exemplifies the early style of the Heian Period, featuring vertical handles and a remarkable texture, skillfully carved to reveal the stone's natural beauty. Although it shows signs of use, with a worn base and small holes, it remains an exceptionally rare example that retains its original form. While it can be used as a flower vase with a lid, it is equally delightful when displayed as is.
