This is a figurine of a female musician holding and playing a musical instrument. The vibrant hues of red and green are remarkably well-preserved. In the Tang Dynasty, the cosmopolitan cities of Chang'an and Luoyang flourished as centers of international trade, where music and dance from Iranian Sogdian and other Central Asian cultures became popular. As a result, numerous figurines depicting musical performances were created. This piece offers a glimpse into the rich and colorful court culture of the Tang Dynasty. The condition is excellent and it comes with a wooden box.
