This small jar, unearthed in the Netherlands, dates back to the 15th century and features a green glaze. The glaze has darkened over time, with subtle hints of silvering visible. It seems as though the passage of time has transformed the object into a landscape of its own.
After filling it with water for about an hour, there were no signs of leakage. In addition to serving as a sake cup, it could also be used as a charming vessel for small floral arrangements.
