This is a Kamakura period tea bowl made of "gaki," a type of earthenware primarily found in the Kinki region of Japan. Gaki ware is known for its high-quality clay and unique firing process, which involves carbonization through smoking. The surface of the bowl is black, while the body has a grayish-white color, and both the inner and outer surfaces are polished. It exudes a strong sense of medieval kiln atmosphere and possesses a magnificent presence. The condition is excellent.
