Literati stoneware Sue pottery (details unknown)

This is Sue pottery of the literati stone figures. This is not Haji pottery, but rather Sue pottery, as it was fired at a high temperature and is probably red-burned. Although it has a similar appearance to the stone figures of the Korean peninsula, no similar examples of pottery have been found, so it has not been identified.
The earthy smell unique to earthenware rises gently when water is dropped on it, giving it the charm of old earthenware. A small amount of old oxidized sand has adhered to the surface, giving it an appealing texture that has withstood the test of time.
The stone figures have gentle and calm expressions and are simple yet sophisticated, standing quietly while still exerting a strong presence.
