This impressive dancing figure, standing at 49 cm tall, is a remarkable example of gray earthenware with slip and pigments from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 8 CE). It reflects the vibrant dance culture and spiritual beliefs of ancient China. The figure depicts a female dancer adorned in long-sleeved garments and a tall hat, gracefully raising one hand as she performs her steps. A subtle smile graces her expression.

Overall, the piece retains traces of the original earth from its excavation. While some restoration has been undertaken, faint remnants of pigments remain, preserving its integrity and making it an excellent addition to any collection. Its striking presence makes it a must-see in any exhibition.
