Hirado ware, historically utilized by the feudal lords, is characterized by its delicate and elegant underglaze painting, as well as intricate and meticulous openwork craftsmanship. Numerous exquisite pieces were created as offerings and gifts. This particular set features a refined bowl shape adorned with an elaborate butterfly motif, set against a finely detailed chrysanthemum design. The porcelain is of exceptional quality, with minimal impurities. The condition is excellent, and the set comprises five pieces. This would make a splendid addition to a kaiseki dining experience.
