This square-shaped charcoal brazier, crafted in the Ko-Bizen style during the Azuchi-Momoyama to Edo Period (1573–1867 CE), features a small kiln mark impressed on its side. While there is an old fray at the rim, it has harmoniously blended with the piece over time. The robust character of this ancient kiln evokes a sense of rustic charm, enhancing the atmosphere of the tea ceremony.
