こちらは古墳時代に作られた土師器の碗形土器です。
碗形の柔らかな丸みを帯びた形状は、手作業の温もりを感じさせ、土と火の力強さを感じられる作品です。古墳時代は、日本列島に様々な民族が共存しており、彼らは土師器や須恵器、土器など多様な焼き物を並行して製作していました。特に土師器は、素朴でプリミティブな美しさを持ち、手のひらで感じるような原始的な造形が特徴です。
この碗形土器も、素朴でありながら、作り手の手のひらの跡を感じさせるような自然な曲線が美しく、土そのものの存在感と、焼き上げられた火の力強さが融合しています。古代の作り手が込めた思いが今にも伝わってくるかのような作品です。
また、木箱が付属しており、コレクションとして大切に保管していただけます。
