Yamadyawan Bowl Heian/794-1185CE

A mountain tea bowl from the Heian period. Yamachawan is fired in the kiln in Tenba, and is covered with plenty of natural glaze. The part that broke in the kiln is kintsugi. The bowl shape is wide and deep, and if you place a small teapot, you can enjoy it as a tea boat.
