At first glance, this large jar may resemble those from Tokoname, yet it is a remarkable example of Ko-Echizen pottery from the Kamakura Period (1185–1333 CE). With a robust appearance reminiscent of earth rising from the ground, it embodies the powerful essence of clay and fire.
