This piece is a small bowl-shaped earthenware vessel crafted during the Yayoi Period (300 BCE–250 CE). Its overall form is characterized by a rustic and warm curvature, with a slightly outwardly flared rim that enhances both usability and stability.

The bowl is relatively lightweight, and the surface displays faint reddish-black fire marks, suggesting it was likely used for cooking or boiling water. Although not distinctly visible, there are trace-like comb patterns on the vessel's surface, indicating the influence of decorative techniques that emerged in western Japan during the mid to late Yayoi Period. While there are minor scratches and hairline cracks, the vessel retains its complete form, and there are no signs of restoration.
