The rim is gently recessed inward, adorned with a rounded edge. The body is flat and circular, featuring a flat base. A white glaze is applied uniformly across the surface, which may also suggest a strong white ash glaze. This form of water bowl is reminiscent of those seen from the Song Dynasty, particularly from the Longquan kiln. The slightly distorted shape harmonizes beautifully with wildflowers, making it an exquisite choice for a floral arrangement at a tea ceremony. A wooden box and protective wrapping are included.
