This vessel features a shallow bowl supported by a slender cylindrical stem that connects to a flared, disk-shaped pedestal. The surface retains rubbing marks from shaping and slight planar undulations, presenting the simple, rustic texture characteristic of Yayoi pottery. A small perforation is present at the center of the underside of the pedestal, likely resulting from a forming treatment.

It has been carefully restored and retains its complete vessel form. Although there are adhering soils, surface wear, and minor scratches from age, the overall condition is good. An old collection label is affixed to the base ("Shōwa 38, April 29 / Numata City, Kamiido-no-Kamimachi Suwahara 924"), which offers evidence of its recovery. Numerous features and artifacts from the Yayoi–Kofun periods have been reported in the surrounding area, allowing the object to be appreciated within its regional context.

This piece clearly exemplifies the basic form of the pedestal bowl, believed to have functioned as a vessel for offerings and for serving food. Its form and state of preservation make it a highly informative specimen.
