This is a misshapen copper bottle from 18th to 19th century Holland.

It was acquired during a period when I was passionately collecting excavated glass bottles and similar artifacts. Initially, I was captivated by the craftsmanship of 19th-century utilitarian glassworks; however, I eventually realized that objects discarded in the earth, weathered by time, had transformed into something that transcended their original purpose.

Since then, I have focused my collection on items that are warped or distorted. Such pieces are exceedingly rare, making them difficult to gather. This particular copper bottle is one I encountered during that journey. The wrinkled surface of the metal and its unique presence evoke an undeniable allure. Might it serve as an intriguing objet d'art?
