This statue of a mythical beast is quite ancient, though its exact origin remains uncertain.

According to the previous owner, it is said to have come from the dismantling of an ancient Chinese temple; however, similar statues of mythical beasts and lions can also be found in Korea and Indonesia.

The smaller statue has been restored due to a crack in its body. The larger statue, on the other hand, shows no significant restoration. Both pieces exhibit signs of age, including wear and insect damage.
