This is a bundle of field notebooks. Originally, these were used during land surveys to record details such as land characters, plot numbers, measurements, names of claimants, and areas.
Such handcrafted notebooks are unfamiliar to me, and when I encountered this collection of ancient documents, I perceived them as objects of art.
